Nowadays banks, credit and financial institutions are trying to increase profits, reduce costs, compete with rivals, attract customers and increase productivity. One of the factors that contributes to the implementation of these strategies is the optimum locations of branches. Locating the new branches of Mehr Eghtesad bank in the region 1 in Tehran city is the aim of this research. Since the focus of service centers such as banks is on maximal or full service to customers, among the all the covering models, Maximal Covering Location model is chosen as the best option to locate the new bank branches. To this end, related literature about locating bank branches, Geographical Information system (GIS) and maximal covering location problem (MCLP) examined. Then, through library Studies and interviewing with managers and experts, the researcher chose effective criteria and sub criteria for locating bank branches. The weights of criteria and sub criteria were determined through filling the questionnaires by managers. GIS used to extract some input data for the model and weighted maximal covering model (MCLM) with partial covering used to choose the best locations. Mathematical programming model formulated with 363 binary variables, 122 constraints, 121 demand areas, 121 potential points, the 1000 m buffer, α = 0.75, b = 50%, θ = 2 and s= 8 & 30 branches (with two different scenarios) and solved with GAMS optimization software. It is clear that by solving the first scenario, eight suitable locations and second scenario thirty suitable locations to open new branches will be generated.

Differentiation through NPD is one of the most effective ways to achieve success. However, because of the failure rate of these projects, it could not be expected firm’ success due to only one new product development project. Therefore, it should be selected a portfolio of new product development projects. In this research by literature review and interview with experts 20 criteria for evaluating new product development projects in disposable medical product extracted. Then by using analytic network process (ANP) based on DEMATEL method degrees of influences given and received among these criteria and also weights for each criteria based on correlation between them calculated. Finally, by evaluating NPD projects with VIKOR method, best portfolio selected. The proposed model is capable of considering complex interrelationship and interdependency between criteria and dimensions for more accurate project selection as well as providing appreciate solutions to improve selected portfolio performance by measuring these interrelationships between criteria and their effective degree and affected degree. The results show that the most important criteria for selecting portfolio of new product development projects are Platform for firm growth and Business-strategy fit.

Nowadays many organizations involved in environmental, social and economic concerns and measure supplier performance on the fields; including the effect that "corporate social responsibility" could have on the suppliers’ selection. The aim of this study is determine of a model to selection of suppliers based on corporate social responsibility. By a review of research literature and obtaining the opinion of experts, the issues were identified in the 5 dimensions (organizational commitment, employee, commitment to society and citizenship, moral commitments, environmental commitments) and 17 indicators. Then the matrix structured questionnaire was developed to determine the intermediate relationship of these indicators. Questionnaire's obtained data analyses using ISM so it was traced 6 levels in an interactive network that indicator "focus on sustainable development" was at the highest level. Also, influence and dependence of the indicators relative to each other on the matrix influence-dependence was evaluated. The most influential indicator in the matrix influence-dependence is "Providing relevant training in CSR to the suppliers”; so the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility in the selection of suppliers depends on their training and to be with this attitude, long-term plans would be design on the basis of social responsibility training specifically for suppliers .

Models presented in inventory management, encompass varied parameters. Primary factor in classic models related to determination of the economical ordering quantity (EOQ) and the economical production quantity (EPQ), is to consider parameters like the setup cost, the holding cost and the demand rate, to be fixed. This characteristic leads to a great difference among the quantity of the economical ordering obtained in classic models and real-word conditions. For instance, It should be stated that not only the holding costs of spoiled and useless products are not always fixed, but also, they would be increased by passing time. This article is an attempt to develop classical EOQ and EPQ models by considering holding and purchasing cost as an increasing continuous function of the ordering cycle time. Due to the complexity of the considered problem, two meta-heuristic algorithms, including Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II) and Multi-objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) are developed. Optimizing service level is considered as one of main apprehension in management science, that’s why increasing service level optimization would be evaluated as the second objective. As the performance of meta-heuristic algorithms is significantly influenced by calibrating their parameters, Taguchi methodology has been used to tune the parameters of the developed algorithms .

In the scheduling problems, it is commonly assumed that processing times are fixed and known. In the literature of project scheduling emphasizes that the time of each activity/operation can be multi-mode and by assigning more resources, the activity time can be reduced. In these problems, in addition to activity scheduling, allocation of available limited resources to the activities should also be carried out. This assumption that processing time of activities is fixed is a weakness in scheduling literature. This paper develops the classic problem flow shop scheduling to multi-mode resource-cosntrainted flow shop scheduling problem. This paper discusses comprehensively about mathematical modeling. In this regard, two mixed integer linear programming models with two differnet concepts are presented. The first model is location-based model and the second is sequence-based. The performance of the models are evaluated by comparing their size and computational complexities. In the size complexity, the first model requires more variables but less constraints than second Model. In the computational complexity, the first model significantly outperforms than the second Model. Also, the first model, besides solving more problems as optimally, requires less time to solve than the second model .
