The purpose of research is to investigate the components of constructive skepticism in later writings of Wittgenstein and its implications on the development of critical mind. This research conducted analytical and interpretive approach. Results revealed that the critical mind must have a constructive skepticism which is determined based on reasons. The effect of doubt must amount to something and can be seen on the behavior and practice of the critical mind. In order to have constructive doubt, it must have mastered the language games of doubt. In addition, since the governing rules in the forms of life are not universal, it is necessary for the critical mind to examine affairs according to the ruling beliefs in the language games of each domain. Moreover, the critical mind, in the critique of affairs, cannot simultaneously challenge all his beliefs, because the doubt still requires grounds, but instead he can doubt on each of his beliefs. Finally, in order to educate the critical minds, interactive spaces instead of conservative ones should be more flexible and provide opportunities for learners to participate in a learning community and gain experience within the being fostered community in order to achieve world-picture.

The identity of university as a modern institution is the product of features like historical continuity and distinction. This article aims to represent the eighty years’ conflict over Iranian university that has its roots, in the author’s opinion, in weakness of identity; the weakness that emerges in two areas of continuity and distinction, and then leads to the absence of a specific model to follow. Using a documentary-analytical method, this article seeks to introduce four known models of higher education, namely the Napoleonic, Humboldt, Oxbridge, and the market model (style 2). The results show that, despite adopting some elements of all four above-mentioned models, none of them is fully realized. This lack of a specific model roots in the weakness of identity-maker elements, as well as lack of attention to formulation of the philosophy of higher education.

The present study aims to explain the nature, scope and process of learning based on the complexity paradigm. To this purpose, the traditional learning theories were reviewed with regard to the philosophical foundations and the emergence of connectivism was examined in the complexity paradigm. Then, the nature, process, and scope of learning were explained on the basis of complexity theory. Three characteristics of complex learning including “conjunction of knowledge and knower”, “classroom and meta-systems as learner’s systems” and “the interdependence of teaching and learning” were addressed for explaining the nature of learning in complexity paradigm. Next, the learning scope was explained with regard to complexity paradigm. It is argued that learners could include social and class groups, schools, communities, body of knowledge, languages, cultures, species and etc. in addition to the conventional learners or students. Therefore, talking about “learner organization” could take on a clear meaning in this context. Additionally, regarding the process of learning, it is argued that learning is an “emerging” process and involves individuals, social groups, and broader community. In other words, in the process of learning the relationship between elements are emphasized over the elements and human mind is considered as an adaptive system.

The main purpose of this paper is an analysis and response to one of the major objections raised to the community of ethical inquiry. To achieve this goal, the content analysis method and the method of analysis and logical inference were used. Regarding that the community of inquiry is opposed to indoctrination, and in the philosophical hermeneutics the prejudices are necessary components of all human understanding, a question has been raised that how we can cultivate morality and character in our students without indoctrinating. In expressing this objection, various forms of it were explained inside and outside Iran. Then, with the help of Gadamer's views as the father of philosophical hermeneutics and Habermas's criticisms, a response to this objection was proposed. The result was that the acceptance of this objection involves making the concept of “autonomy” and “indoctrination” fruitless and vain. And hence, it was shown how Habermas to solve this problem leads us to the exact meanings of “communicative autonomy” and “indoctrination”, which opens a way to consider moral education without indoctrination. Also, by using falsification approach, it was shown that the community of ethical inquiry for the development of critical thinking in children is not to reject the dominant values of society.

The main Purpose of this study is to explore The Quranic concept of Taqva its pedagogical implication of the nurture of virtue. Methodologically, conceptual analysis, conception development was used. Verses from the Holy Quran that share the root of taqva were identified and were taken into consideration. Based on anthropological foundations of Taqva in holy Quran, the process of Taqva entails a goal-oriented valuing of options and making preferences at the moment of selection. The selection can be based on instinctive, intellectual or religious criteria but it contains all three phases of diagnosis, preference, and practical commitment to preferred option. On this basis, Taqva requirements are: “consideration of alternatives prior to selection”, “The cost / benefit analysis (valuing) of each alternative and identification of the best option”, “Understanding barriers to recognition and practical preference of the superior choice (identification of threats and pitfalls of the course of action) and strategies to overcome them”, “preference of the superior alternative for action” and “practical commitment to preferred course of action and, ultimately, staying on that course”.

The main purpose of this paper is the examination of the evolution of Gardner's theory from intelligence to mind. To achieve this goal, descriptive-analytic method was used. One of the important issues in psychology is the topic of intelligence and individual differences. So far many scientists have spoken about this topic, and psychologists have proposed different theories about it. Most of these theories emphasized on language and mathematical skills and that's why Howard Gardner criticized them and introduced his multiple intelligences theory. After twenty-three years in 2006, he has put forward another theory in his book "Five minds for the future" and introduced the five's minds. In this paper we argue that Gardner, not only as a psychologist, but also as a politician and theorist has introduced these minds. He believes that education policy today still appreciates rote learning that prepares students for the world of yesterday. He believes that everyone would need these five minds in the future and he tries to convince the audiences to develop these minds rather than introduces the conceptual and cognitive features of them.
