  • The Role of Working Memory in Academic Proficiency in students

    The role and importance of working memory on academic achievement and student's efficacy is clear. In memory studies, Baddeley and hitch's model of working memory is STM and LTM- based. This construct has two dimensions: saving and processing. This current view highlights memory position on academic achievement. So what there is deep linkage between working memory and 3Rs (writing, reading and arithmetic).essentially working memory has some limitations include space, struggling and time.in this article, memory studies is investigated historically. After that, multi components working memory is presented. Finally and based on working memory limitations, some strategies presents in relation with curriculum elements (such as content, teaching methods, evaluation methods)

    It is more than two decades that social psychology has gone beyond the use of conventional self-reports for investigating attitudes and beliefs. From mid-eightith diverse instruments have been invented in order to measure implicit attitudes: Implicit Association Tese (IAT) is one of the most popular instruments of assessing implicit attitudes. First, we introduce two significant approaches to implicit measures and their relationship to explicit measures. Then, we describe implicit association test and give some evidence for its reliability and validity. In the end, we review the researches that has used implicit association test in Iran.

    Abstract This study examines the influence of self-review tasks on women's Self-concept. To measure the dependent variable of our Self-Understanding Test (Pourhosein, 1386) was used. The Subjects of this study consisted of women who participated in meetings Self-review course at The Tehran University. For the purposes of the study, the pre-test scores lowest on their Self-understanding Test randomized 12 patients in the experimental group and 12 were in the control group. Findings showed that the score of Self-concept in experimental group had significantly increased in the post-test and follow-up (p<0/01). Self-review as a cognitive method can be taken to improve the self-concept.

    Prevalence of the relational transgressions of spouses in Iran especially in metropolitan as a product of modern century is new phenomenon that requires more attention. Because of some considerations in studying with method of survey researches, it should be explored in another form like case study & more. This paper is going to study of Dimensions of relational transgressions with emphasis on marital relationship. So, it studies theoretical background, the causes & consequences of this problem for couples & family. Attention to the factors of causing this phenomenon can develop the knowledge of experts in social science, psychology, sociology and ethics to prevent and reduce the consequences this problem.

    Nowadays, Many researchers considered in Cause of error in time perception. The previous researches found several factors as a reason of this error, but the relation between these factors is a complicated problem. Not only, are there some difference in human time perception and Clock, but also, there is some difference in physical time by clock in different situations. Physic has some reason for these differences in physical time. This study is a comparative review to find out a new respond about this error in time perception by physic and psychology researches. As a result, it seems that increasing the energy causes the slow time perception and in oppose, decreasing the energy causes the fast during the time perception.

    This study aimed to assess the level of self-concept in Work Street children compared with normal children in Tehran on theory of Damon & Hart (1982-1986) was performed. For this study, a total of 180 normal children and street children in the age range 9 to 13 years old, were selected randomly. Overall the level of development of street children and the score of self-concept (Weighted average) was at a lower stage of normal subjects. Also street children from the subject self, point of view as well as objective were at a lower level of normal subjects. Result showed that participants have more problem in understanding subjective self compared of objective self.
