Self-Sacrifice is a consequential theories of normative ethics; as is viewed in the theory, willing most good for others, free from one`s own interests, which views the most good for others as the basis for ethical action. Egoists viewing an egoistic nature for man, have denied human non-egoistic tendencies and some non egoists paying no attention to man`s natural love to himself/herself, give an irrational picture of it. This paper has intended to present a reasonable of the theory on the basis of Quran and reason. As is understood, human tendency is not limted to selfishness; rather, psychologically viewed, man has a tendency to like others. In Quranic ethics, man has been taught to pay attention to all interests all men including himself/herself and others. One, therefor, should in some cases leave one`s interest for others` interest. As is known, though Quranic emphasis on non-egoist actions leads us to their possibility and goodness, one may not infere that this normative theory is all what presented in Quranic. Presenting Quranic ethical theory needs a full study.

The relations between fiqh and morality have become a concern for many of Muslim scholars today. The why of such concern lies in issuing some feqhi edicts not in harmony with morality and, moreover, relating them to religion as seen in some feqhi books. One of such challengable edicts is the one permitting to accuse those of heresy in religion. Some faqihs believe that sometimes those of heresy should be accused and, in this way, be known and not be followed by people. That how one may think over such an edict as a religious rule, led the author to study feqhi proofs in detail. As is shown in the paper, the teachings of morality and fiqh are not in agreement with this edict.

Analyzing the problem of happiness, its essence, norm, degrees and objective components are to be studied. With analysis of the components, Tusi`s model of happiness and his value pyramid of degrees of happiness would be made clear. For Tusi, happiness consists in comprehensive pleasure and attaining perfections. On the basis of gradual nature of perfection and pleasure, happiness would be gradual also and longitudinal pyramid of values for the degrees of happiness would appear in mind. As is understood by Tusi, hapiness in Aristotlian theory has not been limited to the perfection of rational soul`s accidental powers; rather, he theorize on such a high level of happiness that includes other degrees. Objective and bodily perfections, deliverance from vilenesses, attaining perfections, justice and knowledge are, for him, longitudinal components of happiness actualization; though their effects in its actualization are not of the same level.

Shahid Motahhari views morality and mental qualities as absolute and behavior as relative. The view has led to some critiques including disagreement with religious clear texts, relativity and causing separation between human moral qualities and behavior. Though this theory to some extent is not opposed to some critiques against absolutists and relativists like Kant and Bentham, it still has been considered as something near to relativism; the reasons of such a judgment lies in motahhari`s agreement with the theory of i`tebariat in virtue and vice, hosn and qobh, and giving proofs on the relativity of virtue and vice in some cases as well as clear speaking of relativity of human actions. Intending to keep the theory against the critiques, he has known the norm of moral assessment and the norm of absolutism and relativism originated from human actions` correspondence with human transcendent I that for its being common in all human being would be absolute. The purpose and necessity of the subject consist in assessing the theory to be used for solving the problems of applied ethics and establishing correspondence between theories and actions.

Metaethics studies the fundamental principles of ethics and includes four fields: ethical semantics, ethical epistemology, ethical ontology and logical treats. In the last field, ethical concepts and statements are put into discussion; the relation of ought to and is, therefore, is studied in this field, while little attention has paid to it. In the paper, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli`s view on the relation of ethical statements with each other and with non-ethical statements has been studied. He knows ethical statements to be conventional based upon reaity, performative, reasonable and certain. Yet it seems that in Javadi`s view there may be found a difference between certainty and the confirmation made by reason, practical and theoretical; as he considers the practical as agent of movement and the theoretical as that of perception. For the author, his view is referred to others, though one may not agree with him on reconciling ethical statements` quality of being performative as he explain with their being demonstrative and certain.

In the third millennium, most of worlds` crowd will dwell in cities, and with an increase in bioecologic challenges, cities will face various challenges in future. Classifying the idea of a sustainable city on the basis of various approaches of bioecology`s ethics, this study distinguishes a pure city in its best state opposite to four scenarios of sprawl city, sustainable city, quasi sustainable city and bad city. Though bioecologic ruling for performing policies of sustainable urban development is necessary, it may not control human selfishness and egoism as essential cause of bioecologic problems. If the scenarios of bad city and urban sprawl lead respectively to worst and bad situation, those of quasi sustainable city and sustainable city will be a ground to turn the situation to a desired one rather than the best one (pure city). When emphasizing ruling, man`s purpose and motivation of moral behavior towards nature limits to some goals that may not motivate man towards moral behavior. Ethical action to nature and that which leads to human good, in addition to a harmonious system of formal and informal laws, legislative systems and a group of players in all levels of human society, would be dependent on a considerable change in human mental beliefs so that man perceives God`s comprehension over all things.

Towards the end of Omavid Caliphate and beginning of Abbasid, secretaries and writers entered the Royal Court and with regard to their nationality and awareness of Persian ethics` tradition, transmitted this old and historically rooted heritage to Islamic world. In addition to using Persian ethical teachings in their correspondence, they compiled and translated many books affected by Pesian ethics. Their works then became one of ethical sources and next authors, relying on Quranic verses and traditions, tried to legalize them. In this way, Persian ethics turned one of Muslim scholars` sources in this field and affected their ethical system; now a question rises itself in the mind: which teachings and properties of Persian ethics transmitted to Islamic ethics? Trying to answer the question, the author has described five properties including king`s uniqueness, system of classes, following the king, justice and ethical different values. Persian ethics` transmission to Islamic world led to three approaches; some accepted it completely, some balanced it and some, paying attention to unity and everlasting state of reason, agreed with it along with other ethical systems and used some of its teachings.
