Similie is one of the pillars of rhetoric and the most-frequently used literary  device. Similie is an effective structure that enables the addresser to better  transfer and highlight the content in the mind of addressees. A thorough  analysis of similies used in the qutations of prophet Muhammad (PBUH)  reveals that He employed varied discourses according to the addresses’  status in different contexts. Prophet utilized similie in his comments to  outline the most significant aspect of prophethood after him, namely  the issue of Imamate and the lofty status of Imam Ali. It goes without  saying that similie and the elements used in a similie generate a capacity  in the brain of prophet’s addressees towards better understanding the  similarity between the tenor and the vehicle. The elements in the similies  utilized by porphet serve a specific purpose, namely enlightenment. The  findings of the present study corroborate the claim that prophet adopted  a metaphorical approach toward outlining the important issues in society. The researchers in the current paper also argue that in explaining the similies of prophet, scholars need to pay particular attention not only to the context of use and the structure of a metaphor but also to the role played by prophet in outlining the most vital issue of society , namely Imamate, the circumstances in the then fledgeling Islamic society and the characterisitcs of the prophet.

The fact that Imams are in possession of special, infinite knowledge bequeathed from Almighty Allah is agreed upon among all Imami scholars. However, scholars have showed differing views on two pivotal issues namely the sphere of Imams knowelege and the source of Imams knowledge. Hadiths have singled out varied sources for Imams knowledge. Scholars in Qom religious school have quoted some hadiths and outlined the sources for Imams knowledge. The current  study adopts a descriptive-analytical approach and seeks to find answer to the following question: what was the stance taken by Qom religious school scholars toward the two pivotal questions mentioned earlier. In so doing, the current paper investigated the viewpoints expressed by three prominent scholars representing three main ideological streamlines in om. The results show that all the main ideological thoughlines attributed special infinite knowledge for Imams. However, they expressed differing views with regard to the sources of Imams Knowledge according to the religious orientation they had. The two sources of Imams’ knowledge were “inspiration” and “heredity” as outlined by the above-mentioned scholars in the religious school.

Throughout history, several hadiths narrated from weak sources or  narrators accused of exaggration found their ways into Hadith resources  for Shias, even the most reliable ones. This phenomenon led to some
adverse consequences for Shias, such as flat denial of implicit religious  teachings conveyed through hadiths and even questioning the veracity of  some hadiths. One of the crucial responsibilties of hadith scholars is to  contemplate on how to encounter with these hadiths and their narrators,  specially the ones directly related to imamate doctorine.  The present study attempts to revisit the intellectual and hadith heritage
of three narrators accused of exaggration. They are Sahl Biz Zyad,  Mohammad Bin Sanan Zaheri, Mohammad Bin Ali Abu Somaineh. The  current study also adopts a comparative stance towards hadiths narrated
by these narrators and hadiths that carry the same content but narrated  from reliable sources. The current paper then seeks to show that these two  groups of hadiths transfer the same content, and the reliability of former group remains intact

” is one of the methods of showing abhorrence and dissociation to the foes of Ahl-Ul Beit. The current study investigates permissibility or prohibition of “sabb”. A careful analysis of evidence from Quran and hadith shows that “sabb” is not only permissible but preferred course of action in the face enemies of Ahl-Ul Beit. Moreover, the biography of
Infallible Imams shows they indeed resorted to “sabb” when faced with their enemies. The results of the current study show that “sabb” has a broad meaning inclusive of all forms of contempt, verbal belittling, known to the public. However there exists a clear margin between “sabb” and swearwords.
It is worth mentioning that this method of showing dissociation is not appropriate when a person dissimulating. The present study investigates the issue of “sabb” for enemies, and it does not investigate dissimulation and other issues like expediency.

Imamite Muslims, who follow twelve Imams from decent of the prophet, believe that the political ruling is de jure dedicated to the prophet and the twelve Imams. They believe that Imam Muhammad Al-Mahdi, the twelfth Imam who was born in 9th century AD is still alive and will come back in the promised day for constructing a heavenly world. For Imamite Muslims, who are also known as Twelver Shia, the legitimate government and the right of ruling is dedicated to Imam Mahdi. While Shiite community did not developed as a society, they participated in Sunni social institutions as a minority. Afterward in medieval period, when Sunni caliphate collapsed in Baghdad by Mongol invasion, maintaining the social order obliged the Shia to establish government on their own. In this article, we will explore the formation of a new role for Shia rulers as the representative of Imam Mahdi. Our investigation is based on the coins of Shiite rulers in the formative period of Shiite government concept. We find out the Shiite Sultan and Amir suppose himself a ruler in force majeure circumstances, who shall give up his position to Imam Mahdi in his reappearance.

inscriptions are deemed as one of the most prominent ornamental features in structures and buildings. They have a special status with regard to their content in Islamic architecture. Inscriptions also depict the religious
realities and epistemological values that reigned in their era. Several studies attempted to examine the religious content of inscriptions in different dynasties according to the popular beliefs of those eras. The central hypothesis of the current research is that quranic verses and hadiths carrying the principles and tenets of Shiasm (Imamate and Wilayat)  played a significant role in religious inscriptions in safavi and teimori dynasties. The present study seeks to prove the hypothesis by asking the following research questions. First, how did Shia beliefs find their way into religious inscriptions in safavi and teimori dynasties. Second, did the religious beliefs and orientations of the rulers in these eras exert any influence in the formation of inscriptions. The current article investigates  the content of religious inscriptions in Goharshad mosque in Mashhad, Parizad and Dodar Khorasan structures erected in teimori era, and Imam Mosque, Hakim mosque and chaharbagh school built in Safavi dynasty. The findings show that the rulers had great respect for Imams in Teimori dynasty. The extent of respect was so immense that some even suspected Teimori rulers held shia beliefs. However, in this era  shia teachings were only implicitly depicted in the content of religious inscriptions. When shiaism became the official religion in safavi era, shia beliefs were explicitly shown in the content of religious inscriptions. The current article adopted a decriptive-analytical approach toward studying shia beliefs in religious inscriptions in two dynasties namely safavi and teimori. The stance adopted by the current article is comparative in nature.
