Sometimes repeating morphemes and syllables correlates with author's intended thoughts and concepts hence augmenting prominence and distinction in literary discourse and texts, and capturing the audience. Repeating consonants and vowels under phonetic harmony has the power of inducing certain meanings. The French linguist Maurice Grammont, who studied this subject, stated that poets and writers who use words that are made up of similar phonemes, adequately, and without providing extra details, impart their mental images. The present study, drawing on formalist criticism and Maurice Grammont's theory, analyzed Juz' 16 and Juz' 17 of the Holy Quran, and found that phonetic harmony is a way that can help authors in conveying meaning through literary form and structure, while avoiding prolixity. The results suggest that the Holy Quran also enjoys this feature where conveying intentions and meaning via repeating vowels and consonants has had a deep impact on the readership, directing them to meaning discovery. In addition, our analysis show that bright vowels are the most frequent ones to express the glory of Allah, the High and the most frequent consonants are fricatives, used to evoke anxiety and worry on the part of the infidels and the polytheists.

If we accept Wittgenstein's saying that language is mind and mind is language, there is no way left to us to know one's thought, including Hafezs, except serious contemplation of their linguistic works. However, this is not the whole way to go but after knowing about thoughts, their origins have to be identified as well so that the mystery of the existence of such linguistic and literary miracle might be revealed. In this regard, paying attention to a writer's glosses is of outmost importance because they lead us to our goals, avoiding lapses and self-conceptions.
This paper aimed at introducing some Quranic points that the author holds reveals Hafez's thoughts and their origins. These points, being adopted from Hafez's words and particularly his glosses, are based on accounts by Qazvini and Qani, and Khanlari, and avoids personal interpretations and heterogeneous textual ornaments but are in fact in accordance with hermeneutic principles.
It is required to remind that in addition of textual evidence where the evidence was necessary, we also used hypertexts in order to detail brief notes, so Hafez's external evidence become clearer. This point is also worth mentioning that much research has been done on Hafez and his Quranic influence all of which -more or less- are adorable but the Quranic influence has not been discussed well through adequate examples and evidence. Thus, the present paper intends to fill this gap.

The conciseness of the Quranic language is matchless. As Allah's word in the Quran befit being kept by hearts, they require concise and precious words and expressions that are rich in meaning despite concision. The Principle of Least Effort has several categories one of which occurs in the paradigmatic axis, where a brief and contentful linguistic structure replaces a long one. This article, with its descriptive and analytic method, aimed at studying some manifestations of the Principle of Least Effort in the category of substitution at phonetic, lexical, syntactic, and rhetorical levels. It is assumed that the Quran's readership, from the illiterate to modern readers need speech that can be memorized because languages are heading rapidly towards simplification. Therefore, Allah's speech in the Quran created phonetic harmony and attempted at word selection in a way that observes balance and that each generation of readers can utilize and commit them to their hearts.

The presence of a large number of stories about prophets, along with intellectual and rhetorical capacities, in the Holy Quran is a reason for the acceptance of various roles from such Quranic stories in the Persian poetry. The extent of the events during the life of Prophet Musa (AS) and the variety of his personality traits mentioned in the Quran, particularly his encountering opposite forces in several doctrinal, political, and economic fronts have made it possible that the Persian poets each, proportionate to their own intellectual horizons, make different perceptions and due to inclusion of the core of wisdom and mysticism, and the essence of Sufi educational theories, Sufis put this story as their own mirror to show tariqa and their teachings instruction guide. This article aimed at analyzing the multiple functions of the story of Musa (AS) in Persian poetry emphasizing educational and mystical themes based on two methods of documentation analysis and descriptive review. The findings indicate that this story in Persian poetry has four praising, descriptive, didactic and mystical functions, while the last two functions, in addition to being in line with the Quranic objectives of this story, enjoy charm, mystical delicacies, semantic multiple connotations, motivation and persuasion functions and because of this, they have always been regarded as educational "medium" in the Iranian system of social education and spiritual training.

The miracle of the Quran has several aspects, one most important of which is the rhythm of ayahs and their attractive music. This type of rhythm is clearly visible in short surahs such as An-Naazi`aat and At-Takwir which are the focus of our attention in the present study. Rhythm is highly important in the Quran since its function is not only to linguistically beautify the Quran but also to play a pivotal role in the conveyance of divine concepts. Thus, it is necessary to discover the mystery of this rhythmic majesty and divine meanings that appear in ayah's ending words and the sounds of the Quran and to grasp the relationship between form and meaning, which contributed to considering such rhythm among the significant aspects of the Quranic miracle. Taking a descriptive and analytical approach in this study, we aimed at explicating the mystery of this rhythmic beauty and how it is related with divine meanings in An-Naazi`aat and At-Takwir surahs in two parts: ayah's ending words in the two surahs and their sounds. The results of this study show that the high frequency of asymmetric and symmetric ending words in ayahs of the two surahs as well as the presence of nasal vowels, liquids, and glides have created pleasant and influential rhythm. Ending words in unconditioned ayahs and ending words in conditioned ayahs are mostly used where the concepts necessitate their special features. Furthermore, this article shows that each of the voiced, voiceless, plosive, fricative, affricate, nasals, liquids and glides are more frequent where the meanings of ayahs are in close relationship with their distinctive features.

Based on Halliday's Functional Model of Language, events and human thoughts can be represented at three ideational, inter-personal and textual levels. The present study aimed at a descriptive-analytical analysis of paragraphs of the ayahs of Surah Ta-Ha from the perspective of the principles of systemic-functional grammar. In more than eighty ayahs of Surah Ta-Ha, important parts of the story of Prophet Musa (AH) is explained in order to serve as sympathy and condolence for the Prophet Mohammad and the believers in Mecca, who were pressed by enemies at that time. The author intends to examine the aforementioned theoretical model and its applicability in the field of Quranic data and the analysis of different layers of meaning. The results indicate that at ideational level Surah Ta-Ha has benefited from mental and verbal processes besides the material one. The most frequent processes relate to material verbs that are in agreement with the mood of this surah.

The familiarity with and the unrivaled mastery of Shah Nimatullah Wali over the Quran and religious knowledge is a well-known fact that can especially be seen in his poems. In his poetry, Quranic themes and teachings are abundant and because of his great command of the Quranic ayahs, he has used various literary devices (including adaptation, tazmin, allusion, simile, analogy, etc.) in making the most of the Quran. The present paper, aiming at analyzing the functions of the Quranic ayahs in the poetry of this distinguished figure of mysticism, sought to answer these questions: How are Quranic ayahs reflected in the poetry of Shah Nimatullah? What functions do Quranic images have in the poetry of Shah Nimatullah? The research method used is descriptive-analytical and the research corpus comprises the poetry of Shah Nematollah. This study found that the most important objectives and functions of Quranic ayahs in his poems can be categorized in four main axes: 1.
