Much has been documented on the philosophical aspect of aesthetics. However, it has not yet known which aspect of aesthetics is useful for artists. Philosophers and artists look at aesthetics from two different perspectives. For the philosophers, the works of art are unmistakable evidence supporting theories psychologically and shed light on their aspects. However, art samples serve as a model for the artists. If the artist learns about the model, he would be able to predict the outcome of his artwork. Though this issue has received a wide attention all around the world, it needs an urgent consideration in the Iranian context.
The underlying concern is that aesthetics has rarely been drawn upon to inform Iranian arts. The major problem is that Iranian philosophers have brought their influence to bear on aesthetics. Unfortunately, they have failed to meet the needs of artists and the artists to benefit from systematic inspiration in crafting human civilization. Among the thousands of courses in various fields of art, the aesthetic assessment of art history has been overlooked. Available subjects on aesthetics in the doctorate courses have been much influenced by philosophers’ thoughts. However, strong debates provided by philosophers have less contributed to the improvement of the works of artists. .
In addition, the changes in art education in Iran over decades including the attempts made by the cultural revolution of the 60s and by the transform council recently for enriching the lessons with concept of identity and emphasizing the practical aspects of the lesson for addressing the indigenous problems of Iran, have failed to have a meaningful look at the subject of aesthetics in art.
Although the critique of art in all disciplines first requires aesthetic analysis, rarely has this priority given to this criterion. Thematic analysis, political and sociological critique has attracted the attention of the critics more than the impact of artists’ work. However, art criticism should be preceded by an aesthetic assessment; the other dimensions of art should be interpreted in its light.
The imitation of the form is a pest which comes to damage the artworks in the absence of the artist’s aesthetic knowledge. Thanks to the fast growth of the media, anyone who is not well equipped with the aesthetic knowledge will be struck by devastating floods of the information about the art and artistic activities. The flow of information has grown plagiarism and resulted in the resemblance of artworks. The continuous flow of information has provided artists with opportunities to plagiarize. Developing a sense of identity as a strategy not to be the victim of the flood of globalization requires adequate preparations. Identity, the rules which are being shaped by the history of individuals and their society, create artists and its understanding requires the principles of aesthetics. Identity as the product of diversity in human behavior is developed through interaction with the environment and history. One of the identity element is the tastes of people about the face of the environment, which is understandable in the aesthetic world. Without understanding what a beautiful work is and why it is considered beautiful, nations would face difficulty maintaining their identities. Therefore, despite much endeavor and emphasis on developing cultural and artistic based on the identity, considerable success has not been made.
The art education system in all disciplines is required to develop syllabus on the aesthetics of art (and not the philosophy of art) in order to prevent the identities shaped accidentally or under the influence of Medias. An example of such attempts which was made over the Ph.D. course in Landscape Architecture at Tehran University is extensive reach on the aesthetics of art. The attempts have resulted in five articles included in the special issue of this journal. Different topics and research methods in each of the five studies indicate the extent and depth of the effect of aesthetics on various artistic works.
The topics of the article are: Preferences for renovating residential facades among the residents of worn out textures; Aesthetics of the landscape of sky in Iran in the traditional era and the contemporary world; Effect of the models on the Aesthetics of the landscape architectural projects of the University of Tehran; Aesthetics of urban management interventions on Zand street in Shiraz and Plant Aesthetics in Baysunqur’s Shahnameh. The scope of these studies shows the great potential of Aesthetics for analysis and evaluations of artworks. Such analysis not only can be used in training but also in designing and management process. The method of analysis was developed as follows: identifying beautiful examples in each study, analyzing what work is beautiful and making the inference about why it is considered beautiful. This method can provide useful information for the production or management of the arts.

The process of discovering the relationship between objects and events, and understanding their proportion will lead to the production of meaning. During the process of making architecture as a type of art, beauty is created. When a man confronts a beautiful opus, he can perceive the rules of its production by reviewing and re-analyzing that opus. In this research, there is a beautiful architecture opus built by the people of District 17 of Tehran Municipality. District 17 in Tehran, is a district with large number of immigrants with deterioration as the most important physical feature is depreciation and in the not too distant past. Poverty is considered as an integral part of people’s lives in district 17.
Residential buildings of district 17 Tehran, which have been chosen by the people as beautiful opus during a photography contest is the discussed topic in this article. The first step is to discover what people consider as beautiful and the second step is to achieve the legitimacy of the intended “aesthetics”. The analysis method is based on deduction of common points in sample analysis. In order to understand and interpret the qualitative phenomena in a number of selected buildings by the public, the quantitative methods are used. The examined quantitative parameters include shapes and proportions, colors, materials, decorations, age and style of the building facades. Analysis of the achievements of quantitative parameter analysis shows a clear desire of the people to change the subjective experience of poverty in the past and to show a kind of well-being in their lives according to recent events such as the increase of land and housing cost, as well as the expansion of Tehran, population growth and the location of district 17 within the context of Tehran. Many tend to use stone on the facade; the rise of Western classical face lifting that has been seen in the north of the city before. New sequencing and beauty in the minds of the residents and use of attention-seeking colors, shows that people desire to discriminate and change the social class.

Since production is difficult and imitation easy, especially in fields such as architecture whose consequences are revealed within time and are hidden, the objective-subjective quality of design and aesthetics will be ignored. Designs made by students in order to produce knowledge and improve profession under professors’ guidance in an academic environment manifests practical outputs in the contention of production and imitation. In this article, identifying aesthetics and explaining balance in the contention of production and imitation will be addressed by reviewing documents of Iranian academic designs through following questions: Is there a common aesthetic as a rule of aesthetics among students’ designs? What is it? Considering the prevalence of case study reviews in today designs of students, are these potential aesthetics rules produced by conscious or unconscious imitation of three traditions of Iran, Islam and West or a production based on them? This goal is achieved by a bi-section system of formal-mathematics and interpretational-normative logical argumentation guideline.
Results show that in the view of academic designers, creating complexity by a limited number of simple formal variables that produce association using light and warm colors as porous, horizontal, and expansive, with an urban sense and relied on natural or human geometry, soft articulation, rectangle and axis will be appreciated. In this aesthetics, explicit imitation is insignificant, but two errors in “localization” and “what itself has” are obvious for which 5 main reasons can be considered. As a result, the contention with the principle of implicit copy or imitation has been ignored and it seems that powerful conscious production connected to the current and historical background of Iran may be achieved through theorizing, awareness, and distinguishing different types and addressing the crisis (not denial).

In the art world, there are some rules that cannot be easily expressed. Discovering the rules requires examining the artifacts and looking for fixed patterns among them. As the arts of each nation are a subdivision of its culture, the bilateral impact of the art and culture on each other are inevitable. Analyzing the certain rules in particular artworks show that the creators of the art have been influenced by those rules and interpreted the world through the lens of them.
The present paper is an attempt to analyze the plant, a main element of the Iranian Miniature paintings, quantitatively and discover their recurring patterns. We have limited the scope of the current study to two major parameters namely the plant and the miniature. Given the plentiful variety of plants, some were excluded. In the case of the miniature, just Shahnameh was analyzed. The reason for selecting this book was a limited number of miniatures on a specific topic and in a specific time frame.
The data analysis shows that Iranian people revere the nature as a holy sacred and nature is an important element in Iranian. Miniature art, as one of the most important Iranian arts, clearly depicts the status of nature among Iranians over time. Only a few miniatures have not included nature. One of the important elements of nature in these works is a variety of plants that are sacred and have a special value among the Persians.

All of the governments have the theoretical and ideological fundamentals for trying to cover their political legitimation the city is one of the most important social courses of the which the theoretical fundamentals and ever the political beliefs of the governor effects on it. On the other hand, the first vesiclepicture of the citizens of a city is the view of its streets which forms the larger part of a person’s aesthetic experience of a city. The aim of this survey is to probe the lawbiding. That exists over the actions and interferences of the mayoralty to the formation and continuation of the zand street in shiraz. Moreover, It consists of some historical researches that have been gathered by the data collection from the libraries and field works. These researches are to express and describe the different layers (feature) of the ruler’s beliefs and its influence on the beau tinesr of zand street throughout. The 3 periods of chajar, Pahlavi and Islamic repulic.
For this to happen, the criteria’s for evaluating beastliness in the nuler’s viewpoint includes 3 categories which are as follow .
1)physical nestle tics 2)social nestle tics and 3)historical nestle tics. The results show that the interferences are made by formal institutions, and there are no social institutes for controlling these interferences. From one side, these interferences art to reach the law biding view point of the ruler and in each period it will follow the specific political 8 social conditions.
From the other side, in each the interferences are under the effect of the extreme individualistic approvals, the imitating thinking system, unfamiliarity with the correct term and not searching about the preactions.

Through the evolution course of history, the sky has been loaded with meanings, mysteries, and secretes in many nations. Since the time of mythology, it has signified different meaning such as boundlessness, wideness, benevolence, mysteriousness, extension, and inaccessibility. In addition to the sky, the sun, the most original source of light and endlessness, has reinforced this idea that the gods are in the sky. In Iran, this belief was introduced by the Zarathustra school and appeared in a different form in the Islamic era. The sky and its associated concepts have been used in arts, literature, philosophy, and applied arts, architecture and other disciplines. Many descriptions for this term (e.g. in various forms of text, image and etc) has been the corollary of such applications. The sky and its wide aspects, the inseparable parts of nature, have been rooted in human nature. Designing the sky and its concepts in the arts by the human is known as the aesthetics of sky landscape. The sky landscape as an objective-subjective phenomenon is one of the most frequent, dynamic, and most diverse and beautiful natural scenery that influence human’s perception of the landscape. In this paper, we attempted to compare the aesthetics of the sky landscape throughout the history with its feature in the contemporary era. To this end, we explored the reflections of the aesthetics of the sky landscape in the ancient art samples, the motifs under the dome and the porches. Such reflection in the modern era was captured by investigating the aesthetic features in the images found through Google search engine. To this purpose, we used Google data tree to cluster the Google images associated with the sky on based on their content then we compared our database with 15 samples of domes and in terms of sky elements such as the sun, the cloud, stars. The results of the study showed that these elements play a key role in the aesthetics of the sky landscape. However, the aesthetics of the sky landscape has undergone changes in its characteristics throughout history. The changes are associated with human’s perspective which de-emphasizes the subjectivity of arts and underscores its objectivity.
