To What Extent Do the Personnel of Karaj Police Stations Benefit from the scientific approaches of Crime Prevention (2010)

Crime prevention is a clever campaign through problem detection and deleting its factors. Problem solving is an approach-oriented, scientific, applied, and systematic process through which problems are detected and prevention strategies are applied.Te present paper tries to find out to what extent the personnel of Karaj police stations benefit from the scientific approaches of crime prevention. The statistical population of the study were the personnel of the crime prevention section of Karaj police stations (N=600) among whom 150 were randomly selected as the statistical sample. Questionnaire was used to collect the required data. SPSS was used to analyze the data.The findings of the study demonstrated that the personnel of the crime prevention section of Karaj police stations were not fully familiar with the process of problem-oriented policing.
