A comparative Study on the Liability of The Two Parties of the Trap Setters (Police Officer and the accused) In Iran and U.S Criminal Justice Systems

Detecting certain crimes such as victimless crimes can put extra burden on the police shoulders. Police officers may sometimes be forced to pave the ground for the commission of crimes in order to set trap to catch criminals. These types of operations can also have their bad consequences. What the present paper is trying to perform is clarifying ambiguities and challenges related to the liabilities of police officers and the accused. There are certain differences in Iran and the U.S. criminal justice systems regarding the issue. Comparing the two systems, the author tries to elaborate on different aspects of maintaining the method.
