An Analysis of the Contex of ICT development in rural areas Case study: county badr in township Ghorveh

Abstract:
At the advent of the twenty-first century, the role and Position of new technologies such as ICT in the process of achieving development has become more apparent. Nowadays ICT plays a basic role in economic, social and cultural development of communities especially in disadvantaged rural areas. And issue rises here as regards the development of ICT in rural areas which is wheather these areas have the individual, economic, social and infrastructural potentials for this development. The present study is aimed at answering this question. The methodology is descriptive - analytical and field data collection and library (interviews and questionnaires) is. For data analysis descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Friedman test, one-sample t-statistics, linear regression, Tukey test, chi-square test and correlation coefficient) is used. The results show that the rural areas under study do not hare the potential in all the four aspects, for ICT development.
