Improving evaluation measurements of Management Departments in higher education centers in the Data Envelopment Analysis models using Goal programming

Message:
Abstract:
the purpose of this study was to design the mathematical combination model for improving evaluation measurements in the Departments of Management in higher education centers in the country. This study was formed on the basis of the Data Envelopment Analysis technique, but in order to increase accuracy in assessing the performance of Departments and to identify the efficiency and inefficiency units, a model that combines Data Envelopment Analysis technique with designed Goal programming was used to measure performance of Management Departments. The study was descriptive and cross-sectional in nature. Departments that were used to test the model, related to faculties of management at 12 universities across the country including Faculties of Management of Tehran University, Allameh Tabatabaei, Shahid Beheshti University, Al-Shahed, International Imam Khomeini, Gilan, Mazandaran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Mashhad Ferdowsi, and the Shahid Chamran. The results of this study showed the higher ability of the combined model of separation of departments in comparison with the basic Data Envelopment Analysis model.
