Maintaining Integration in the Performance of I.R.I. Police: Determining Integration Indicators

Islamic Republic of Iran Police (I.R.I.P.) is a large organization with diverse roles and missions. Disintegration of different departments of the organization in accordance with organization's goals could bring about multiple problems, which in turn affect the way mission is implied and thus will lower the value of the services given to community. What factors and indexes result in the ideal integration of the organization? By scrutiny in the indexes and indicators of integration, we can determine the factors effecting in poor integration and thus work on the weaknesses and impediments. The main aim of this survey was collecting, classifying, and prioritizing the integration indicators of the performance of IRIP.By using Delphi technique and the cooperation of experts responsible for different departments of IRIP in headquarter of IRIP and Great Tehran Police Department (GTPD) with sufficient experience (N=14), the research was carried out in 1386-1387. Integration indicators were gathered from different documents - theories of management and sociology- and with the help of experts ideas devised a questionnaire. The researcher-made questionnaire was revised in three phases and its reliability coefficient was computed for 5 sets of questions (a=0.673, 0.741, 0.828, 0.633, 0.779). For descriptive analysis, percentage and for inferential analysis, Binomial test were used.The results showed that among 63 indicators by experts, 51 indicators were accepted as indicators of integration in IRIP.
