The role of scientific associations in scientific public policies

Network policy making is a new concept in recent public policyliterature. This concept demonstrates there exist certain relation betweenthe organizations of civil society and government’s policy makers. Therole and the effect of scientific nongovernmental organizations on thegovernment’s scientific decision making have been studied in this paper.This research has been carried out by mixed sample survey and semistructuredinterviews. the result of this study show NGO’s scientificassociations may have remarkable effects on citizens’ awareness, that, inturn; will improve the quality of public policy, leading the economic andsocial development.
