The Study of Crisis Management Process Regarding Abu Musa and Greater and Lesser Tunbs Island in 1968-1971 with a Glance to the Zatman's Ripeness Theory

The main question posed by this article is that did the crisis of triple islands in1971 which occurred simultaneously with the withdrawal of British forces from the Persian Gulf adjust with the elements stipulated in Zartman's crisis ripeness theory to be solved definitely and in case of affirmative response, how is evaluated the restart of crisis in 1992? To explain the issue, the author advance the hypothesis that this crisis is completely adjustable with the all elements necessary for ripeness including crisis ripeness, ripe moment, a " way out" formula and an honest mediator in 1971, but the lack of an honest mediator (Britain) led to an unresolved situation and provided grounds for the reemergence of the crisis.
