Message:
Abstract:
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between transformationalleadership and improvement of educator performance at boy’s secondary schools in the district one of the Education Department in Ahwaz - Iran. Current study is a descriptive-correlational investigation. The research population consisted of 148 employees of the schools, from which 108 people were randomly selected using multi-stage cluster sampling procedure and on the basis of Krejcie and Morgan table. Data collection was carried out using Karry Barent’s questionnaire on transformational leadership and to measure performance improvement, the schools’ annual performance diagram was used. To analyze data, Smirinov-Kolomogrov test and Pearson’s correlation quotient were employed. The results of Pearson’s test suggested that there is a significant relationship between transformational leadership and improvement of performance. In order to improve educators’ performance through transformational leadership, the managers need to be role models for them, to develop a clear prospect for them; and to question the current assumptions and focus on them closely.
