Synthesis of zeolite minerals clinoptilolite merlinoite of natural minerals in the presence of alkaline solutions (Case Study: Damavand zeolitice zone)

This study was conducted on Damavand zeolite zone. Based on the results of chemical and mineralogical analyzes, Clinoptilolite zeolite was determined from the area. In this study, the natural mineral clinoptilolite alkaline solutions in the laboratory and in the presence of 8 M KOH and NaOH 4 M, Merlinoite (synthetic zeolite) were synthesized. The results showed that the temperature of 200° C and in the presence of high concentrations of Na+, the percentage decline phase clinoptilolite obtained includes Merlinoite, natrollite and is halloycite. Merlinoite, synthetic zeolites with respect to the crystalline structure and physical and chemical properties, especially, the extensive use of natural zeolite is in the industry and technology.
