The relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational commitment
The present study has tried to deal with the relation between emotional intelligence and organizational commitment for the office managers of Tehran Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Offices. For this purpose, emotional intelligence has been defined according to Daniel Golman Model and organizational commitment based on Meyer and Allen Model. On this basis, a principal and four subsidiary hypotheses have been arranged. The means for collecting information include two questionnaires, that is, Shring’s Emotional Intelligence with 34 questions and Meyer and Allen’s Organizational Commitment Questionnaire with 24 questions, which, after justifiability and perpetuity, were put at disposal of the statistic universe consisting of 160 office managers of thirty Divisions of Tehran Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office. The universe was obtained making use of simple sampling method. After gathering, the data obtained was summarized, classified and analyzed making use of ANOVA Method (Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Variance Analysis and Regression). The results obtained from hypothesis testing confirmed all the hypotheses of the research, which indicate that there is a significant relation between the emotional intelligence and organizational commitment of the office managers of thirty Divisions of Tehran Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office.
