Evaluating the Effectiveness of Coaching and Refereeing Courses from University Student's Viewpoints Based on Kirk Partric's Model

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the coaching and referreeing courses from the viewpoints of those university students who participated in these courses. The research method used in this study was descriptive. The population consisted of the students of physical education faculties of Tehran state universities (n=2000) and the sample was determined as 322 subjects based on Morgan table. A researcher-made questionnaire (24 items) based on Kirk Patric''s model was used to collect data. The validity of this questionnaire was confirmed by 8 sport management professors، and the reliability was acquired through Cronbach''s alpha (α=0. 91). To analyze the data، descriptive (mean and frequency percentage) and inferential statistics (one sample t test) were used. The results showed that coaching courses in eight sport fields and referreeing courses in four sport fields had the necessary effectiveness.
