Abstract:
A comparative study of Yusuf’s story in the Holy Quran and Iraj`s story in Ferdowsi`s Shahnameh shows a unique conception of good and evil in the themes and characters of these two stories. Some of these topics are polygamy، sibling’s jealously، and extreme fatherly love to the youngest child. One can observe some differences between these two stories as the first story ends in happiness and the second ends in tragedy. The current work examines the concepts of good and evil in these two stories.
