Pressure Patterns Investigation Dominant in Shahr-e-Kurd Station, Using the Correlation Matrix

Abstract:
In the present research, the variability process of station pressure patterns throughout a 41 year period, by providing the correlation matrix out ofstandardized scores of daily pressure (Z Scores) in Shahr-e-Kurd Synoptic Station was demonstrated. Accordingly it was determined that daily pressure pattern in 1995 had correlation coefficient over 0.8 with 75% of daily pressure patterns of the years under the survey. Such correlation with 99% assurance level has been significant. On one hand, such a relationship for 25% of the years had the coefficient of less than 0.8 so that even in some years it has not been significant. On the other hand ignoring the short-term changes in some annual periods, it is noticed that throughout the above mentioned 41 years, by moving from 1964 toward the period termination (up to 2004), the coefficients of correlation among daily pressure pattern has had an upward movement beside their own particular order. Such a matter is indicates that in a long period the station pressure patterns tend towards a more stable state.
