Investigating the Effectiveness of Extracurricular activities in Shahid Beheshti University

The purpose of this research was the investigation of Effectiveness of Extracurricular activities in Shahid Beheshti University by using a systemic approach. It has attempted to identify the main input, procedural, and output elements of the extracurricular activities and to offer some suggestions for improvement of those activities. The method of this research was descriptive. To collect data, researchermade questionnaires were used. Research population had consisted of 375 inactive students and 84 active students in extracurricular activities that were selected through stratified – proportional sampling by using Morgan formula. For analyzing the data of research descriptive and inferential statistical methods (variate T-test, bivariate T-test and ANOVA, scheffe testing) were used. The viewpoints of active students had indicated the Extracurricular activities were Effective, but the inactive students considered extracurricular activities inffective.
