Measure and Ranking Universities of Shiraz in implementation knowledge management of Librarian's view by ANP-TOPSIS technique

The present study aims to measure and rank Shiraz universities in implementing knowledge management from librarian's point of view by using ANP-TOPSIS technique. This research method is a descriptive-survey and the population included all librarians of Shiraz University, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Shiraz University of Technology in 2011-2012(88 persons). Due to the limited size of population, no sampling was carried out. The instrument for collecting data was a researcher-developed questionnaire with the Likert scale. The validity of the questionnaire was approved by experienced teachers and the reliability was estimated to be 0.86. Findings revealed that all the factors of Hissig’s model (creation, storage, distribution and application of the knowledge) were tsken into account in the implementation of KM in the Shiraz universities libraries. Ranking the factors of Hissig's model by ANP-TOPSIS technique showed that "distribution of knowledge" is the most important factor and “application of knowledge” has the least impact on the implementing knowledge management. In ranking the universities of Shiraz in implementing knowledge management showed that Shiraz University has the best performance. Also there was not a significant difference among the average of subjects based on demographic variables i.e. gender, background of employment, type of work, and library type (P≥0.05), but regarding the academic degree there was significant differences in all factors Hissing model (P≤0.05).
