An Investigation of Pathology of Organizational Interactions based on a Tripartite Model (a case of Martyr Sattari Air Force University)

Inappropriate interactions is one of the major organizational concerns as it has a significant role to play in the growth of any organization, and the respective managers are required to interact with officials of various ranks including their subordinates, super-ordinates and counterparts. Any ineffective interactions may halter achieving the organization objectives. So, an understanding of the interaction obstacles and damage has turned into a major function of the managers. To investigate this issue empirically at three structural, behavioral and field areas, this descriptive-filed study was designed. The research sample population representing all officers from Martyr Sattari Air Force University represented by 125 officers was selected based on random sampling method. Following the development and validation of a questionnaire used for data collection procedure, the collected data were exposed to Kolmogorov-Smirnov, T-test and ANOVA for statistical analyses. The findings orderly revealed the following variables as the interaction damage:1) Organizational factors including formality, complexity, and concentration; 2) behavioral factors such as perceptual and humane factors; and 3) field factors including technical and contextual issues.
