Introducing and Analyzing the Designs of the Newly Founded Stone Figures of Shoosf District of Nehbandan City

With methodological archeological inspection in the area of Shoosf District of Nehbandan-the southern part of the South Khorasan and north of the Sistan-e-Balochestan, several Stone figures with various and different designs has been discovered which they can be declared as a hint of artistic works and commemoration of the peoples who settled in this locality. These Stone figures for the first time had been deciphered in the year of 1391 by the survey inspection with the method of typography and condensed and in-depth spectrograph. The engraves of Nehbandan has been explored in two distinct regions with the names of “Tangeyeh Panjeh Daheneh” and “Dareyeh Anjir” and for this basis they has been called pictographs. The design figures totally divided into three parts of human, animal and symbolic designs and the subjects of these pictographs includes; goat design, humped camel, hunter man who rides horse and styled designs. All of these figures has been engraved by the method of carving and continuous blowing or forming of scratches with a sharp and pointed object in rock frames. For the reason of limitations and the lack of conducting chemical experiments on these Stone figures, the definite opinion could not be accomplished to their dating and chronology and this job demands the independent and multilateral researches that the writer of this paper is in this hope that in the future years by doing the novel laboratory and scientific methods to propose definite date and history for these stone figures but the basis for dating of the stone figures of Nehbandan, The samples gained from Balochestan, Bojnord and Birjand and also the adjacent spaces are of the said effect. From the work style and morphology, this figures are from the millennium of third and fourth Hejira and for the reasons of extensive cultural transaction, throughout the presence of hunters and emigrant ranchers we observe them in this region, which has been rest in these places. The present article attempts by the use of analytic-descriptive research method and introducing and analyzing the important kinds of these rocky designs to engage in explaining, describing and relative history dating of them.
