Utopian Characteristics of the Muslims of the Abode of Happiness Novel (Därürrähat Müsülmänlarї)

In the late 19th century a social and cultural movement was being formed among Muslims dominated by the Russian Empire. Under the influence of the innovative approach of its founder، Ismail Bey Gasperinski، this movement was called ‘Jadidism’. In order to publicize its beliefs، this movement created fine literary works in the field of modern poetry and fiction. In the present paper the The Muslims of the Abode Happiness [Därürrähat Müsülmänlarї] (1906) novel، the most famous utopian literary work of Gasprinskii was analyzed. Fitrat (1886-1938) translated this novel to Persian، Musulmänän-i Där ul-rähat، in 1915. In this novel، Gasprinskii presents his wishes as the framework of the ideal Muslims community، or the utopia. This novel was reviewed with an analytical-descriptive method and a critical approach using a special model designed for the analysis of such novels.
