A review over Quranic reasons of why imam should be appointed by God from imam Riza's point of view

one of the disputable issues among Shia and Sunnite is appointing imam. The Sunnite believed that imamat is a thing of choice. But Shia believe God and Prophet of God should declare imams. Shia –According to the teachings of infallibles-, know imam to have special characteristics, which our thought is unable to comprehend. To know who deserves this great position of imamat is only at God’s power and knowledge. Imam Riza pointed to purity, knowledge, superiority… of Imams in his sermon in Marv, referring to some Quranic verses in this regard. In the present study, three verses have been reviewed: 124 Baqara, 73 Anbia, 68 Ghesas. In the present article we also learn no where or position can be the result of human beings natural spiritual advancement as it has been mentioned by Abrar scholars.
