The Application of Semantic Fields Theory in the Vocabulary Studies of Personality Structure based on the Islamic Sources

Message:
Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to investigate the application of semantic fields theory in the vocabulary studies of personality structure based on the Islamic sources. The main question of the research was that in the vocabulary studies of personality structure, what qualitative analyses should be done on data before the factor analysis is done on them and what the application of semantic fields theory is in this case. The research methodology was qualitative-analytical. The results showed that a) one of the most important parts of the vocabulary studies of personality structure is conceptology; something to which has been paid attention less in psychological studies; b) by discovering the conceptual correlations of vocabularies with the help of semantic fields theory and its principles, we are able to use them as a qualitative method in studies and they can make up for the lacks of factor analysis; c) the convergence of principles of semantic fields theory and the methods of religious deductions in Fiqh, Osoul, Tafsir, philosophy, and Kalam could attract the Muslim scientist's attention in the recent decades.
