The Impact of Using E-portfolio on Student's General Self-efficacy

The present research aimed to examine the impact of electronic portfolio on students’ general selfefficacy. The statistical population of the present research was comprised of all the students of the Education and Psychology Department of Allameh Tabatabaei University in the second semester of 2012-2013. The research sample was also comprised of two classes of master’s students who were chosen on the basis of availability. The number of each class was 18 students- totally 36 students that were divided accidentally to experimental and control groups. In the beginning of the term, both groups were given a pretest in the same circumstance. Afterwards, the experimental group was exposed to the independent variable for one term and eventually at the end of the term, in order to examine the resulting changes, both groups were given a post-test. In order to analyze the data the covariance method was used. The results showed that self-efficacy of the experimental group students increased significantly compared to that of the control group students.
