Hearing of the dead and the contrast between the viewpoints of Wahhabis and their own scholars
Hearing of the dead is an issue that most of the Muslims, even Ibn Teymieh, Ibn Qayyim and Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, whose ideas are in contrast with the majority of the Muslims, believe in it. However, these days Wahhabis (who consider themselves the followers of Ibn Teymieh, Ibn Qayyim and Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab) denounce this fact and by doing so, they reject intersession and imploration from the holy people. And if other Muslims ask for help from the deceased it is considered polytheism and the take measures against it. Therefore it is plausible to discuss this matter and find out if the dead can hear or not? In this writing, we do not want to mention and criticize the reasons behind this fact, but rather we try to show not only the contrast between their ideas and thoughts of scholars of other Islamic sects, but also the contrast between contemporary Wahhabis and their own trusted scholars. This way, it will be clear how far the Wahhabis from the main stream of Islamic teachings are.
