The Impact of Personality Traits on the Discipline of Amin Police University Students

One of the ways of socialization and social behavior acceptance in the community is the compliance with laws and disciplinary regulations governing society. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of personality traits on the discipline of the students at Amin Police University. In terms of its nature, this study is of a causal-comparative research type and in terms of its objectives it is considered as an applied research. The research population includes all the male students of one of the faculties of Amin Police University in 2010-2011 academic years. 83 individuals were selected via random sampling method. The instrument usedin this study consists of two NEO Personality Inventory and researcher-made discipline questionnaires and the data were analyzed using t-test and SPSS software.Findings and The research showed a significant relationship between different aspects of student's personality and their discipline. Therefore, since being disciplined and ordered are considered as one of the principles of the students in Amin Police University, taking the student's personality traits into consideration is crucially important in selection stage and schooling time.
