Th e Effects of Money Laundering on Financial Crime

Money Laundering is wealth, money or illegal copyright which criminal is going to make it legal and pure. Money laundering is a criminal, continual and longtime activity that is over than a country and changed to a worldwide problem as is like a shadow on world economics. Nowadays there are around two thousand criminal titles in jurisdictional laws that many of them can be counting as financial crime, but money laundering can be consider as an independent crime. Due to this there are so sensibility in fighting against money laundering and have a hard punishment. This research is going to answer these two questions: what are the differences between crimes public properties and financial crimes? Did the money laundering operation have any effect on financial crimes? The approach of this research is qualitative and its method is descriptive. Due to this, concepts of money laundering and its differences. The process of changing illegal money to legally, and others. To provide literature review we collected data through library research, meanwhile evaluate characteristic of financial crime and reported the result of vulnerability measurement. Findings show that financial crime in a long rang can be affected from money laundering. Because of money laundering as one of the main financial crime, it is vary from other kind of crime in different aspects such as subject, purposes of crime graphic, also the effects of by compliant and international expansion.
