Criminological Analysis of Economic Crimes

Economic crimes are now considered a basic challenge. The main problem to be solved by the present research is the enlargement of economic crimes and the related concerns in Iran.The present research is an applied descriptive one aiming at clarifying the nature of economic crimes and the ways to deal with them.Questionnaire and interview were used as instruments for collecting the required data.The findings of this study demonstrated that the Merton's stress theory can to a great extent justify the economic crimes andincompatibility of the instruments and the society's legal ends is the most important factor in making people inclined toward getting engaged in the pyramid networks.
