Investigating the Status of Quality Evaluation in Applied Education and Training

Abstract:
Evaluation and quality assurance are two of the effective measures that play the role of facilitators in the quality of higher education sector. The purpose of this study is to study the applied education and training systems (including the University of Applied Science and the Technical and Vocational Education and Training) and improving quality, evaluation and quality assurance of these Educations. For this purpose, the system of evaluation and quality assurance of applied education and training in some countries such as United States of America, Finland, Netherlands, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Australia have been studied as the targeted and desirable examples of 5 continents. By using the studied components in these countries, practical suggestions have been presented for improving applied education and training in Iran. The methodology in this research is qualitative method, analyzing the documents and comparative study. The internal evaluation process in applied education and training system in Iran is not continuously and need to determine a time cycle to repeat the accreditation process and use the results of this process.
