Abstract:
No doubt SīraNabawiya (Prophetic biography) is one of the most important research area which has been addressed by old and modern Muslims, especially Orientalist scholars and some of the Arabic and Iranian researchers, who follow Westerns and rely on diverse sources as well as many different native and orientalist methods. In each period, researches on SīraNabawiya are significantly different as they are done for specific purposes. It happens that three authors, Ma’ruf al-Rasāfi, Ali-e Dashti, and HoshāmJa’īthave had certain goals in dealing with this issue. Hasan Bazāyenie in the present paper is going to criticize the mentioned authors’ works. These authors claim that they have studied SīraNabawiya in the light of new knowledge and by using new scientific methods. He tries to highlight parts of their writings which are novel and different from what Muslims generally and Arabs in particular have written about the prophet. Therefore, in this study he follows their ideas based on historical process which starts with the Prophet’s life before Besat, continues with Besat and interregnum periods in Mecca, migration to Yathrib, and wars.it is also connected to the Prophet’s life in Medina up to the time he passed away.
