Analyzing the Impact of Religious Social Capital on Innovation (among Doctoral Students of TMU)

Innovation is one of the fundamental needs for development. In order to achieve scientific development goals, scientific innovation should be developed in the country. Policymaking in the field of scientific development requires accurate knowledge of factors affecting it. One of the characteristics of religious societies is influence and effect of some of religious elements in its functions and thus people. Here an attempt is made to make a criterion, which measures access to religious capital resources, through scientific bases and utilized tools in the world, and that criterion is used to analyze the impact of religious social capital on scientific innovation of Doctoral students of Tarbiat Modarres University (TMU). The statistical population is PhD students of TMU, and the survey was conducted on PhD students from four faculties: Economics and Management, Engineering, Humanities and Medical Sciences. The data collection method is interviewing by means of questionnaire, and the analysis is conducted though statistical and regression methods. The results suggest that access to religious capital resources, human resources and membership in National Elites Foundation with high reliability have an impact on innovation. Moreover, age has a positive effect that its significance is less. Adversely, the marital status, gender and being the student of Hozeh don’t have a significant impact on innovation.
