The relationship of empathy and forgiveness with marital satisfaction in men and women (couples) in Isfahan City

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between empathy forgiveness and marital satisfaction of couples in Isfahan. Therefore 100 couples were randomly selected and were asked to respond to Enriching Marital Sticfaction Scale (1993), Emotional Empathy Scale (1972), Familly Forgiveness Scale (1998) and a demographic questanaire. The resualt of regression analysis showed that empathy and emotional forgiveness can significantly predict cognitive satisfaction of couples (P<%5). Also the wife̕s and husband̓s age can significantly predict relationship satisfaction. (P<%5).
