" A Comparative Study of the Concepts of Resistance and Defiance in FadwaTugan and Tahereh Saffarzadeh's Poetry"

Due to the similar religious and political situation of Palestine and Iran, these countries have continually resisted local and foreign autocracy. The occurrence of unprecedented changes especially during the World Wars I and II and their repercussions on the Middle East countries led the intellectuals in these communities to criticize dominant political situation in these countries. Its effect was so great that resistance literature had a prominent role in the reflection of criticisms it is so nurtured that Tughan and Saffarzadeh, two great poets from Palestine and Iran respectively, could be flexible regarding the effects of resistance Literature. That is the reason why resistance Literature has paved the way for the appearance of similarities in the works of these poetesses in political, conceptual and semantic trends. This article aims at conducting a comparative study of some of the similar themes of resistance and defiance in their poems such as decolonization, an invitation to awareness, patriotism, respecting the high position on martyrdom, and martyrs, justice, freedom, etc. It also demonstrates the position of these poetesses who are the most famous and committed persons whose poetry had a significant role in the political fights against colonization in the contemporary literature of Iran and Palestine.
