Cultural Diplomacy of I.R. Iran in Eco Zone

In the age of “Globalization” and against the crushing pressure of global culture, focusing on cultural policies in national and regional level gains a special value. Nowadays, different methods and tools are applied in all corners of the world to guard and secure national and regional cultures. Cultural diplomacy is known and taking position and influence as a tool to secure national and regional interest, and became a significant part of foreign policy. By the victory of Islamic revolution of Iran and thereafter, the collapse of Soviet Union, a vast domain has been opened in front of policy makers to extend Iranian-Islamic cultural influence. More ever, the membership of CIS countries in Eco zone creates a unique chance to create a vast relation and deepen the socio-cultural interactions. Holding a set of geographical, economic and politic susceptibilities, members of Eco share a common cultural origin. This paper aims to recognize suitable cultural strategies of foreign policy and show some of common cultural inheritances and necessities of convergence amongst these countries, to achieve political, economic and security aims via expanding the common culture and avoiding termination of subcultures of Eco members.
