Special protection to women in general international treaties

Abstract:
One of the most important issues of human societies is issues of women's rights, maintain the high status of women and to avoid discriminatory treatment and based on gender whith women. In this regard, governments and international organization have edited and adopted important international documents and conventions that all of them are rejection of all forms of discrimination against women and women's rights and equality between women and men.The international general treaties emphasized the women's rights but failed to satisfy women's rights defenders. Accordingly, some women's organizations and feminist movements, their efforts shifted to the side of the United Nations forced to conclude treaties that their main topics are women and legal protections for women's enjoyment of rights and fundamental freedoms based on equality with men. Among these international instruments provided to improve the status of women , Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women has been the most important document that forms the core belief of the United Nations in the field. This convention like all other treaties is formed on the basis of feminist thinking and expresse the similarity rights of men and women. The emphasis on equality of women and men(no fair legal relations that is fit the facts and also the protection of women 's values with an emphasis on removing the exclusion of women) is one of the basic ideas of the international conventions that has led to design of criticism from some Islamic countries. Also one of the most important criticisms concerning the pursuit of women's rights, in order to provide stability and strengthen the foundation of the family and amendment of rights and duties of women and men is negligence of it in the UN agencies. The idea of Islam emphasizes on maintain an independent identity for woman and pays attention her unique role in the family.The prominent role of women in the family as mother and also its unique properties in the role of wife has established legal personality (duties and special rights) for her. On the other hand, the independent identity in the community makes him a man responsible and rightful owner. Therefore , for her political, social and economic rights has been designed the various mechanisms in Islamic law. In this article , the author plans to examine the foundations that support women's rights by explaining the general and specific documents International and then she try to express some of the criticisms and shortcomings of the international treaties.
