Perceived stress and its mediating role in the effect of personality types on organizational citizenship behavior

The aim of this paper is to study the role and affections of personality types on organizational citizenship behavior with perceived stress mediation between personality characteristics and leadership styles. The nature of research method is descriptive- causal and the goal is to make it applicable. Research statistical society contains 260 employees in state organizations of Astaneh Ashrafiyeh Township. Research statistical sample contains 152 employees that is calculated with Cochran formula. But 143 questionnaire Received. Both field and library methods used to collect data. To study research literature and background the library based method was used and to achieve research goal field method was used. For this purpose three questionnaires were used that the first was personality type questionnaire and the second was leadership style questionnaire and later organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire. Questionnaires were distributed among employees. After answering, questionnaires were analyzed by structural equations technique and using SPSS 20 and LISREL 8.8. Results show that personality types have a positive and meaningful effect on organizational citizenship behavior and negative and meaningful effect on perceived stress. Too, Results show that perceived stress has a negative and meaningful effect on organizational citizenship behavior.
