A survey and Comparison of sexual function in the normal couples and the couples on the threshold of divorce in Isfahan

Although sexual function is an important and integral part of marital life, But it can also the disorder a couple's divorce is one of the most important factors. According to the taboos that have already been created, and the couple cannot express. Aim of this study, Survey and comparison sexual function in the normal couples and the couples on the brink of divorce were performed. Statistical population the couples referred to health center of Social Welfare and Family Courts is Isfahan city. The descriptive research method of type causal - comparative (ex post facto) on number of 30 couples (60 persons on the brink of divorce), and 30 couples (60 normal persons) was conducted in Isfahan city. Sampling was available. Assessment instrument, sexual function questionnaire (FSEI), the data were analyzed using covariance analysis test (ANCOVA). The results showed that between sexual function (sexual desire, mental stimulation, moist, orgasm, satisfaction, and sexual pain) groups of on the brink of divorce and the normal group is difference (significant). Also, significant of all the variables related to sexual function in men and also women (except sexual desire) was approved. Therefore, couples problems in the field sexual function can lead to sexual dissatisfaction and over time emotional aspects and marital and family relations can even influence. Findings of this research confirm that the people on the brink of divorce having marital problems toward the normal people and sense of special responsibility have not had in front of his wife sexual recurrence and satisfaction.
