The Israeli Influence on the Deterioration of the Crisis between Iran and the United States

Oscillations in Iranian-US relations both before and after the Islamic Revolution are among the topics that have gained the attention of many scholars. This article is intended to study this subject. Thus, topics such as US policy toward Iran, US-Israeli strategic relations, Middle East peace process, the question of terrorism, and Iran’s security sensitivity and weapons’ capabilities have been discussed. Considering latest regional developments and providing numerous data and evidence, the author has revealed that US allegations against Iran during recent years (i.e. obstruction in the Middle East peace process, attempts to acquire weapons of mass destruction, and support for terrorism) are in the direction of Israel’s national interests and security concerns. For this reason, in the study of Iranian-US relations, Israel’s role should not and could not be ignored as an important and determining variable.
