Assesment of science establishment and local information of farmes based on user perspectives (A case study of Qazvin province)

Indigenous knowledge, called local, traditional and tribal knowledge, is used for definining and classifying events in physical, natural and social environments. This knowledge is different from the knowledge that people gain it from formal institutions such as universities and public and private research institutions. Local people maintain local knowledge of nations. Farmers, peasantry, women, rural tradesmen, dairy farmers have their own special techniques. These techniques and indigenous knowledge appears easily and simply at the first glance but this simple method has enabled underserved villagers to supply their own life using limited resources. The reason for choosing Qazvin province is that Qazvin plain is one of the four greatest and richest plains of Iran including 460 thousand hectares. The other feature of this plain is long history of human inhabitance and plantation for 10 thousand years. In this province most of people activities are tied up to culture, history and province civilization in agriculture fields. Our aim is assessment of science establishment and local knowledge and information of agriculture users and is examination of strengths, weaknesses, restrictions and potential of knowledge management and exploiters information. To this the utilization level of 90 subjects was completed questionnaires and descriptive analysis was performed. A sample including 90 farmers completed questionnaires.
