The Political Power Structure of Israeli Society

Author(s):
Abstract:
In this essay, the author addresses the question of the lack of success of the Islamic World in dealing with Israel's expansionist policies. He introduces deficiency of accurate and precise understanding of Israel as an explanatory variable. Therefore, it is argued that what is needed for effective policymaking is a better awareness of all aspects of life including politics, economy, society and culture of Israel. The writer then proceeds with an analysis of Israel's social and political attributes. The topics contemplated are: Israel's social structure as a whole, its political elite structure, the characteristics of the Israeli politicians, the role of its governmental and non-governmental organizations, its military forces, the role and function of its parties and its related political groups with an emphasis on their interactions. In conclusion, this researcher presents a multi-dimensional analysis of the major groups and individuals, which contribute to the formulation of Israeli domestic and foreign policies.
