Analytic Review of Consequences of Religious Goodness and Badness

Rational and religious goodness and badness have different consequences in three domains of justice, prophecy and resurrection. The theory of religious goodness and badness also leads to an inability to prove God’s attributes rationally. This theory also fails to present a rational account of the necessity of prophetic mission and infallibility of the prophets, resurrection and obligations. It is only through the religious goodness and badness that one can appreciate the God’s attributes and consider God free from bad actions and tyranny. As the performance of a deed by God or lack of it cannot be proven rationally the religious law loses it credibility and therefore its commandments and promises will not be obligatory. In contrast, the theory of rational goodness and badness does not have these weaknesses in terms of instruments and consequences. With the acceptance of rational goodness and badness, it is possible to prove God’s attributes rationally and with an emphasis on the badness of declaration of a miracle by the false advocates of prophecy and the badness of the negation of God’s intention, many issues in the domain of prophecy and its secondary issues are proved rationally. It is also possible to present rational reasons on the necessity of resurrection through rational goodness and badness..
