Comparison of Rumination and Affective Self-Regulation in Depressed, Anxious, and Normal Individuals

Abstract:
The goal of the present research was to compare the affective self-regulation and rumination in depressed, anxious, and normal individuals. The statistical population of this research were all individuals suffering from depression and anxiety, and also healthy people in Tehran City in the fall of 2013. Sample was gathered via availability sampling method. In the present research, each group consisted of 50 participants. For data collec-tion, Beck Dep-ression Inventory, Cattell Anxiety Inventory, March Affective Self-Regulation Questionnaire, and Ruminative Response Scale were used. Descriptive statistics, MANOVA test, and Post hoc LSD test were used for data analysis.
