Immediate Revelation of the Qurʾān:AllamehTabatabaʾi, Ayatollah JavadiAmoli, and Ayatollah Maʿrefat

TheImmediate Revelation of the Qurʾān is an age-old discussion among the Qurʾān scholars, and in different periods it has both proponents and opponents. AllamehTabatabaʾi, one of the proponents of the immediate revelation of the Qurʾān, attempted to explain this theory by his Qurʾān-by-Qurʾān interpretation. But, Ayatollah Maʿrefat has criticized this view. Here, we try to analyze these criticisms by Ayatollah JavadiAmoli’s explanation of AllamehTabatabaʾi’s view. In this essay, the views of these three thinkers will be investigated with an analytic-documentary method. According to the manifestation-like revelation of the Qurʾān, the immediate revelation of Qurʾān could be understood in a way that these criticisms be answered.
