The Bright Star of the Region of Najeel, Iraq

Abstract:
Abu Jaffar Muhammad bin Ali Al-Naqi (a.s), known as Syed Muhammad was born by a virtuous and pious mother. There are plenteous names and titles reported for Syed Muhammad whereas his most famous name was “Abu Jaffar” and the title was “Sab`o Al-Dajeel”. He was the eldest son of Imam Hadi (a.s) as well as he was the aid and helper of him in reviving the Divine values and the Sunnah (customs) of Holy Prophet (PBUHH) in such a way that many were thinking that Syed Muhammad would be the successor and the Imam after his father. But on his untimely death before Imam Hadi (a.s), the succession of Imam Askari (a.s) became clear for all.
Syed Muhammad has a status near Arabs like the status of Hazrat Abal Fazl Al-Abbas (a.s) near the Iranians as many of the great elders and Shia Maraje` have been struggled for his holy shrine’s development while Shia scholars have also written much about his high status and miracles whereas Shia poets have written down many poems in his tribute. The scholars and the people of Iraq believe that Syed Muhammad owns the dignity and the spiritual power.
This writing has pointed towards the moral virtues, the status near the people of that times, the scholars, the Shias of Iraq, the miracles and the excellencies of this great person and the political and social circumstances of his times after the introduction and the description of his genealogy.
