architectural design of knowledge base for handmade carpet (Case study: Naein handmade carpet)

The aim of this study is architectural design of knowledge base for handmade carpet and as case study handmade carpets Naein. Knowledge Base is Heart of knowledge management system and its main task is storing and coding of knowledge and specialty of persons for publish and share when necessary and with minimal cost. The study theoretically is a case study and in terms of the purpose is a the exploratory. The study population includes all businessmen of Naein handmade carpet that they have enough knowledge and information in all areas of activity of handmade carpet. The number of the Specialists as a population of about 110 people, 86 people were selected as sample and the Method was Purposeful sampling. The tools used in this study include interviews with experts in different fields of carpet and questionnaire on the basis of knowledge gained from interviews, content analysis. statistical data were studied by descriptive and inductive methods and Friedman test. The results showed the dimensions of knowledge in all fields including dyeing, planning, texture, trade and sale as significant are different and some of the dimensions of knowledge in any field have more priority and knowledge in these aspects is necessary to increase the efficiency and success. based on the priorities of knowledge in the field by Friedman test, a knowledge base has been architected for storing knowledge in different areas. Architecture of Knowledge Base is open with the capability of Updating and editing, Web - based and system-oriented and managed by Iran Carpet Company.
