Talent's perception of talent retention factors in Yazd textile industry

Abstract:
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify talents’ perception of retention factors in Yazd textile industry. First, object - exclusive approach, and targeted sampling method is used for identifying talents. To establish a talent pool regarding cited approach and sampling method, Organizations chosen are amongst the ones selected for their outstanding performance by Iran’s ministry of Industry and Mining during the past five years. Then, phenomenography strategy is utilized to explore different ways of understanding talent retention phenomenon. In total, 22 semi-structured interviews with talented people were conducted in eight textile companies. Results of analysis indicate four levels affecting the retention of talents. The four levels are individual, job, group and organizational level. Likewise, different talents’ perceptions represent 18 description categories related to phenomenon of retention. Given this levels and descriptive categories, the outcome space is mapped. The Outcome space is actually pattern of talent’s perception related to retention phenomenon.
